Camping on the Rogue River

This was the first camping trip we took in Oregon since we have had the kids. It was also the first time the kids had been rafting on a river. What fun to show them the thrill of the white water!
These were not our boat...I never got a good shot of the big mango we road on. But it was sort of like this little toy Boat T.J. played with.
The boys loved the high waves and the rocking of the boat....but getting wet wasn't so much fun.
We went with four other famlies one whom we met as a new couple 20 years ago on this very same river. It was on that trip where Michelle and I became friends.
Thanks Michelle for another fabulous wilderness trip!

Zak with Michelle's dog Kahali.
T.J. found this really cool caterpillar while we were packing up the rafts.
The gear.
Parachute men....a kind gift from a new friend.

Shish kabobs over the fire. What a great way to wrap up a day on the water!
