Arctic Lapbooks: Part 3 of 3

Penguins. They are so cute. We  had a lot of fun with this lapbook and looking at penguins in general. Here is the cover of Max's Lapbook.

One of the first things we did was to put together the life cycle of the penguin from Lapbook lessons.

Then we played around with the Penguin species cards. Search this site for the penguin teachers guide for K-3. Inside the teachers guide are the penguin cards. Print them on card stock or laminate them. We looked at the height of each one. Who was the tallest. Who was the smallest. Then we put them in order from smallest to tallest.

Our sources for inspiring ideas: the movie March of the Penguins and the book Mr. Popper's Penguins.
